SLUT FOR OCTOBER CANDLE

LIMITED EDITION. A collaboration with artist Bill Crisafi, the Slut for October candle celebrates the mischievous side of fall with a decadent scent of smoldering leaves, bruised apples, and exquisite decay. Forget pumpkin spice and polite scarves, this is autumn at its most indecent.

SCENT NOTES: Arkansas Black Apple, Labdanum, Myrrh, Cedarwood, Oakmoss, Juniper Smoke, Sun-scorched Hay

FRAGRANCE STORY

Some years back we stumbled upon Bill Crisafi’s illustrations and were immediately enamored with his work and the innate wit, whimsy and irreverence that makes them iconic and unforgettable. A tribute to the season, this is a collaboration between artists obsessed with autumn and its sensory magic. The fragrance evokes the magic of Bill's childhood memories of Massachusetts in the fall.

The Slut for October Candle captures the sinister curl of burning leaf piles, the brittle sigh of sun-scorched grass beneath your feet, and the ripe, bruised sweetness of apples abandoned to the orchard floor. Beneath it lingers the slow, decadent perfume of decay, a fragrance both dreadful and divine. This is not autumn as the living know it. This is October, unmasked,  mischievous, depraved, and utterly irresistible.

Summon the season to stay forever. Strike a match, and October arrives instantly: mischievous, decadent, and utterly indecent. Forget pumpkin spice and polite scarves, this is autumn at its most indecent.

ABOUT BILL CRISAFI

Bill Crisafi is an artist whose world is stitched together with magic, folklore, and a flair for the dramatic. Raised just outside Salem, Massachusetts, he grew up immersed in the legends of New England, where the history of magic and witchcraft continues to inspire his work.

After earning degrees in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts & Tufts University, Bill began merging costume, illustration, sculpture, and photography into a universe that is equal parts occult, camp, and humor. What started as a fascination with fashion illustration and costume design evolved into a practice of bringing fantastical worlds and figures to life across multiple mediums.

His work has been commissioned by musicians, filmmakers, and institutions alike, including Chappell Roan, Chelsea Wolfe, the Peabody Essex Museum, Heretic Parfum, Boston Seaport and Blumhouse Productions among others.

Now based in Chicago, Bill shares his playful, lighthearted creations with an ever-growing audience. His art reaches hundreds of thousands of people across social media platforms, inviting them into a space where witches, drag queens, and folklore mingle with wit and imagination.

HOW TO USE

INSTRUCTIONS: Heretic candles are hand poured with soy wax and unleaded wicks. To prevent damage, make sure to trim the wick to ⅛ of an inch every time the candle is lit. Do not let it burn for more than 4 hours at a time and please place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. For the best candle performance, allow the wax pool to completely liquify, extinguish, and let cool.

PRECAUTIONS: Never leave a burning candle unattended or burning for more than 4 hours. Keep away from drafts, children, pets, and all flammable materials.
